Hello Everyone,
Term 3 is well and truly underway. I am impressed at how well they have all progressed during term 2 and our focus this term is to prepare them all for P2. As I explained via Seesaw, our new topic for World Around Us will be Holidays and Travel. We have set up our very own Travel Agents for Play based learning so if you have any old brochures, we'd be happy to have them. Thank you to any of you who have already sent in a holiday photo of your child on a previous holiday at home or abroad and even on a day out. We will be putting these up for our display and the children will be presenting them during talking and listening.
We all had the opportunity to use our fabulous new outdoor learning park and the children had a fantastic time. Please watch out for the photos. As we move into the better weather, we intend to avail of this facility on a regular basis. Please make sure that your child has suncream on if we are lucky enough to get any really sunny days.
In numeracy we will be consolidating work on number, addition and problem solving. In literacy our focus will be phonics, key words, reading and independence in writing.
