Welcome to Mrs McCrystal P1 class page.

We are so excited to welcome our new boys and girls to St John the Baptist Primary School. We hope to have a wonderful year with you all! 

Our topic for this term will be Nursery Rhymes. Therefore, we have lots of amazing activities planned including making jam sandwiches, face biscuits and Autumn trees.  We will also learn about numbers up to 10, sorting, matching and patterns during our numeracy time.

Our topics this year: NURSERY RHYMES, WHAT'S ON THE MENU, PEOPLE WHO HELP US, MINIBEASTS and THE ZOO.

Our start time is 8:45am. You will enter the school by the side entrance gate and go straight to our new classrooms by the P1 classroom entrance. 

Make sure you bring in one healthy item to eat at break time.

(Remember not to bring any food containing nuts as some of boys and girls have nut allergies.)

Our PE day is Wednesday. Children should come into school in their full PE uniform only on this day. 

We finish at 2:00pm from Monday to Thursday and 1:30pm on a Friday. 

It is important that we all look after our health and wellbeing this year. Over the holidays we have created a new sensory circuit on the link corridor. We have decorated our nurture room and got lots of lovely new equipment for our nurture room. Boys and girls from P.1-7 will be able to use these amazing new resources throughout the year.

We have a very busy term ahead of us with lots of exciting activities for everyone. I hope you all had a lovely summer and can’t wait to meet you all soon!
